Retreat Director

“I believe that humanity is at the stage of “Transformation of Consciousness or Bust”, and it was time for me to focus on human transformation of consciousness.”

I was born and raised in Israel. At 24 I moved to Vancouver Island, BC, Canada, which has been my home base ever since.

Throughout my life, I engaged in many avenues of change making, including peace activism, community activism, food activism, media activism and political work in the realm of Canadian Federal politics.

I started participating in Shipibo ceremonies in 2004 in British Columbia. At the time I was the owner and manager of a popular restaurant which I founded and ran for 12 years. In 2015 I took the first of several trips to Peru to do master plant dietas, and to work as a facilitator and general manager of a healing center which was focused on master plant dietas, near Iquitos, in the Peruvian Amazon.

In between my medicine work, I also managed four federal election campaigns in Canada, twice succeeding to get a Canadian member of parliament elected. I also served as the Chief of Staff to that MP for two years.

At the end of 2021 I left political work to focus full time on plant medicine work. I believe that humanity is at the stage of “Transformation of Consciousness or Bust”, and it was time for me to focus on human transformation of consciousness.

I joined the Soltara team in July 2022 as a facilitator and became one of our Directors of Retreats in April 2023.

I am a graduate of the February 2023 cohort of Gabor Mate’s Compassionate Inquiry 12 month course for professionals.
